Itinerary
Day 01: Airport — Negombo (–/–/D)
- Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and you will be warmly welcomed by our Explore Vacations representative.
- You will be transferred to your hotel in Negombo.
- Relax, Refresh and have your dinner. Have a good night’s sleep & get ready for an experience of your life the next day.
Day 02: Negombo — Pinnawala — Dambulla (B/–/D)
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Proceed to Dambulla.
- En-route visit Elephant Orphanage, Pinnawela, where you can witness the River bathing of Elephants (02 ½ hours from Negombo).
- Arrive in Dambulla and check in to a hotel.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.



Day 03: Dambulla – Polonnaruwa – Sigiriya – Dambulla (B/–/D)
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- After early breakfast, excursion to Polonnaruwa Ancient city, where you can witness the ruins of archaeological patterns of medieval Sri Lanka. It is also a UNESCO declared world heritage site that belongs to the 12th Century BC.
- Return to the hotel.
- Proceed to climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress, which is a UNESCO declared World Heritage Site. Sometimes referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” this ancient formation that soars over 200 meters (656 feet) high was developed into a palace-fortress in the latter half of the 5th century.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.



Day 04: Dambulla – Matale – Kandy (B/–/D)
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Proceed to Kandy – This was the last kingdom of Sri Lanka and the hill capital.
- En-route visit a spice garden.
- Arrive in Kandy and check in to a hotel.
- Thereafter, visit the Royal Botanical Gardens (Asia’s best).
- Return to the hotel for rest and relaxation.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.



Day 05: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya (B/–/D)
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, which safely keeps the Lord Buddha’s Tooth Relic venerated by the Buddhists all over the world.
- Proceed to Nuwara Eliya through lush green tea plantations.
- Arrive in Nuwara Eliya. Nuwara Eliya is known as the “Little England” of Sri Lanka and one of the coldest places on the island, with the weather almost like a spring day in England. The temperature will drop at night and taking a warm jersey is recommended
- Check in to a hotel for dinner and overnight stay.


Day 06: Nuwara Eliya – Ella – Yala (B/–/D)
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Proceed to Yala through Ella – this will be a scenic ride through the tea plantation.
- Arrive in Yala and check in to a hotel for rest and relaxation.
- Evening visit Yala National Park in a separate jeep.
- Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.



Day 07: Yala – Uda Walawe – Beruwela (B/–/D)
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Proceed to Uda Walawe to witness feeding at the baby elephant orphanage.
- Thereafter, visit Uda Walawe National Park in a separate jeep.
- Proceed to Beruwela for your beach stay, which is located along the southwest coastal belt of Sri Lanka.
- Check in to the Hotel where you will spend two nights by the Sandy beaches of the Indian Ocean.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 08: Beruwela (B/–/D)
- Rest and relax by the beach.
Day 09: Kalutara – Colombo – Departure (B/–/–)
- Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
- If time permits, visit Lakmedura and Premadasa Jewelers for shopping.
- Thereafter you will be transferred to Bandaranaike International Airport.
