Itinerary
Day 01: Airport — Negombo (-/-/D)
- Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and you will be warmly welcomed by our Explore Vacations representative.
- You will be transferred to a hotel in Negombo, known for its long sandy beaches and centuries-old fishing industry.
- Relax, Refresh and have your dinner. Have a good night’s sleep & get ready for an experience of your life the next day.
Day 02: Negombo — Pinnawala — Sigiriya — Habarana (B/-/D)
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- After breakfast, head towards the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage where you can witness the River bathing of Elephants.
- Thereafter, proceed to climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress, which is a UNESCO declared world heritage site. Sometimes referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” this ancient formation that soars over 200 meters (656 feet) high was developed into a palace-fortress in the latter half of the 5th century.
- Arrive in Habarana and check in to a hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 03: Habarana – Polonnaruwa – Habarana (B/-/ D)
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Early morning excursion to Polonnaruwa Ancient city, where you can witness the ruins of archaeological patterns of medieval Sri Lanka. It is also a UNESCO declared world heritage site that belongs to the 12th Century BC. The 02nd capital of Sri Lanka.
- Evening visit Minneriya / Kaudulla National park to witness the Largest known wild Asian Elephant Gathering at one place in the World
- Return to the hotel for rest and relaxation.
Day 04: Habarana – Dambulla – Kandy (B/-/D)
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Rest and relax at the hotel.
- Check out and continue the tour to Kandy. This was the last kingdom of Sri Lanka and the hill capital.
- En-route visit a Spice Garden, a gem museum and a Gem lapidary.
- Arrive in Kandy and check in to a hotel for rest and relaxation.
- Overnight and dinner at the hotel.
Day 05: Kandy (B/-/D)
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha.
- Rest and relax at the hotel.
- Late afternoon visits the Royal Botanical gardens (Asia’s best).
- Check in to a hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 06: Kandy —Nuwara Eliya (B/-/D)
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Continue the journey towards Nuwara Eliya.
- Drive through stunning landscapes of green and lush tea plantations and mountain views with a picturesque landscape and temperate climate.
- Check in to a hotel in Nuwara Eliya for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 07: Nuwara Eliya – Ahungalle (B/-/D)
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Leisure time.
- Continue the journey to Ahungalla, which is located along the southwest coastal belt of Sri Lanka.
- Arrive in Ahungalla and check in to the Hotel where you will spend a few nights by the Sandy beaches of the Indian Ocean.
- Rest and relax by the beach.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 08 – 09: Ahungalla (B/-/D)
- Breakfast at the hotel
- Rest and relax by the beach.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 10: Ahungalle — Colombo (B/-/D)
- Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then proceed to Colombo.
- Arrive in Colombo.
- If time permits, discover the city & explore the shopping malls, such as House of Fashion, ODEL, etc…
- Relax, Refresh and have your dinner. Have a good night’s sleep & get ready for the departure the next day.
Day 11: Colombo — Departure (B/-/-)
- Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then you will be transferred to Bandaranaike International Airport.
